When disassembling a stainless steel horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump, these items should be noted
The working principle of a stainless steel horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump is that when the pump is filled with water, the impeller rotates, generating centrifugal force. Under the influence of this centrifugal force, the water in the impeller’s flow passage is thrown out and flows into the pump casing. This causes the pressure within the impeller to decrease, becoming lower than the pressure in the inlet pipe. Due to this pressure difference, water flows from the suction tank into the impeller. In this way, the pump can continuously suck and supply water.
This product is manufactured using advanced processes such as stainless steel plate stamping and expansion welding. It is a new generation of domestic pipeline centrifugal pump, which can replace traditional centrifugal pumps and ordinary corrosion-resistant pumps. It features an aesthetic appearance, lightweight structure, high efficiency and energy saving, durability, resistance to light corrosion, and low noise.

When disassembling a stainless steel horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump, the following points should be noted:
- When disassembling or assembling nuts, it is advisable to use a spanner of appropriate size.
- When using a wrench, the direction of force application should be perpendicular to the wrench handle, and generally, pulling force is used instead of pushing force.
- Before maintenance, the mechanic or construction technician from the maintenance unit shall be responsible for preparing a comprehensive maintenance plan and conducting technical disclosure of the maintenance plan to all personnel participating in the maintenance.
- Destructive disassembly method refers to the disassembly measures that cannot be taken to retain the main parts and destroy the auxiliary parts when removing fixed connectors such as welded, riveted, sealed, and interference connections, or when the shaft and sleeve are engaged with each other, with the key shaft twisted and deformed and severely corroded, resulting in mutual engagement.
- When dismantling the chestnut, the method with less static or impact force is the pulling method.
- The disassembly method for simple-shaped stationary mating parts of pumps is the jacking method.
- The disassembly method for fixed connectors such as welded, riveted, sealed, and interference connections of the pump that require disassembly is destructive disassembly.
- The temperature difference method of disassembly involves dismantling hard-fitting components by heating the containing part or cooling the contained part.
- When dismantling the coupling, it is not allowed to directly hit it with a hammer, but a pure copper rod must be used for padding. Do not hit the outer edge of the coupling, as this can easily damage the hub of the coupling. The ideal method is to use a puller (or clamp) to dismantle it.
- Small and medium-sized pumps are relatively easy to remove due to their small interference fit; for larger water pumps, the coupling and shaft have a larger interference fit, so the coupling must be heated during disassembly and assembly.
- The pin, nut washer, sealing washer, etc. of the stainless steel horizontal single-stage centrifugal pump must have consistent specifications and sizes to avoid affecting the dynamic balance of the coupling.
